Today we will be speaking with Lina Badimon from the Hospital Santa Creu and San Pau, Autonomous University of Barcelona in Spain.At the end of this podcast learners should be aware of the significant cardiovascular disease risk associated with menopause in women, have knowledge of the risk factors underlying cardiovascular disease during the menopause, and be familiar with the interactions between cardiovascular risk, cardiovascular disease, menopause and different hormone therapies when making clinical treatment decisions.This podcast is part of the Continuing Medical Education program entitled, “From hypertension to cardiovascular disease 2026: adherence, AI and menopause”, targeting clinicians (including cardiologists, internists, and general practitioners), nurse practitioners and other health care professionals who diagnose and manage patients with cardiovascular disease and hypertension.
